Pooch Hall lands plea deal in DUI case

Ray Donovan actor Marion ‘pooch’ Hall has avoided jail time in his DUI case after striking a plea deal with prosecutors.
The TV star, who plays Daryll on Liev Schreiber’s hit drama, was arrested by Los Angeles police in October (18) after he was reportedly spotted behind the wheel of his car, with his two-year-old son allegedly steering while sitting on his lap.
The vehicle came to a stop after it smashed into a parked car, but no one was injured.
Hall was allegedly found to have a blood alcohol level more than three times the legal limit, and he was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) and felony child abuse.
He initially pleaded not guilty to the counts before voluntarily entering a 60-day rehab programme to overcome his alcohol issues, and now it appears his efforts to beat the bottle have won him the support of authorities, who agreed to cut him a deal.
According to TMZ, Hall has since pleaded no contest to misdemeanor DUI and child endangerment.
In exchange, the 42 year old has been handed three years probation and ordered to complete a three-month alcohol addiction programme for the DUI, while he must also finish a one-year parenting class in order to have the latter charge dismissed.
The lighter sentence will come as a relief to Hall, who had originally faced up to six-and-a-half years behind bars if convicted of the crimes.
