Alright, America. Mr. President himself, Barack Obama is laying down the final word on the Nicki Minaj lyrical Romneygate. Because not only is he the President of these United States, he’s also apparently the President of the Nicki Minaj fan club. Or, at least, he understands what most people have already pointed out about her much-discussed lyrics on the new Lil Wayne Dedication 4 mixtape. ‘I’m a Republican voting for Mitt Romney/ You lazy b**ches are fucking up the economy’ are the words that caused the Internet to get its proverbial panties all in a bunch.
Thankfully, our fair Commander in Chief Correctness (a title I just made up), schooled the populous via Orlando’s POWER 95.3FM radio station.
“I’m not sure that’s actually what happened,” Obama told deejays Obie and Lil Shawn, when they asked his thoughts on Minaj’s lyrics being support for the Romney campaign. “I think she had a song on there — a little rap that said that. But she likes to play different characters, so I don’t know what’s going on there.” Minaj then took to Twitter to confirm Obama’s suspicions.

Phew! I was worried we were going to have to continue to speculate on whether or not a rapper who frequently makes outlandish statements in her raps for attention was going to vote for Obama in 2012. Now that we have that crisis out of the way, we can get back to the REAL issues. Like, you know, what rappers actually DO support the Romney/Ryan campaign.
