Talk about an elephant in the room.
Just days after scandal broke out over Psy’s past lyrics to “Kill Those F**king Yankees,” the “Gangnam Style” performer appeared at Miami radio station Y100’s Jingle Ball concert on Saturday.
While interviewing the K-pop star, two radio DJs tried their best to keep the mood light, not even referring to the scandal once.
And you’ve got to feel for the poor guys, who may have been asked to keep things positive by his publicist or their bosses or just wanted to keep the peace themselves.
Controversy reached a boiling point just a day earlier when critics were calling for the Korean rapper to be banned from an upcoming performance at the White House. (It was later reported that he would indeed perform despite criticism.)
But for the Miami show, it was business as usual.
As a result, here’s a taste of the “revelations” to come out of the interview:
1. Psy likes to eat kimchi and white rice.
2. He can bunk with one of the DJs if he comes back.
3. He’ll spend New Year’s Eve (his birthday) in New York.
4. His twins don’t realize he’s famous.
5. It’s warm in Miami.
