Biography

For most people, being described as "fast" and "cheap" is not a good thing. But perky chef and bestselling author Rachael Ray has built a culinary empire on being just those things. Ray realized early on that viewers wanted to cook good food, but had neither the time nor money to do so. Much to the dismay of snobby food critics and chefs everywhere, she became an overnight media mogul with 11 bestselling cookbooks, several high-rated cooking shows and, following in the steps of Oprah and Martha, her own self-titled magazine. Eating on the cheap had always paid off for the irresistible Rachael Ray.
