Randy Quaid and wife arrested by border police

Randy Quaid and his wife were arrested on Friday (09Oct15) after trying to enter the U.S. from Canada, according to reports.
Randy and Evi fled to Canada in October 2010 after missing a court appearance over felony vandalism charges. The pair was accused of causing more than $5,000 (£3,125) worth of damage to a property they previously owned in Santa Barbara, California.
The couple was granted permission to stay in 2011 by Canadian authorities, and Evi was granted citizenship because of her Canadian-born father. However, Randy’s request for permanent residency was denied in 2013.
The Kingpin star was due to be deported to the U.S. on 14 October (15), but the pair was arrested on Friday after trying to cross from Quebec to Vermont.
They are both being held in separate prisons in Vermont on a $500,000 (£312,500) bail bond each. They are due to be moved to California to face the charges against them.
