Even though we’ll have one reason each and every week to sing Rebecca Black’s Friday (but if you count Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, there are four), Black is still interested in expanding her reign. It has been announced that on July 18th, she’ll release a new single called My Moment on her Youtube channel. The Hollywood Reporter describes the future stupendous comet of expression and delight as follows: “Written by Brandon “Blue” Hamilton, whose credits included a track on Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never: The Remixes, and Quinton Tolbert and produced by Charlton Pettus (Tears for Fears, Hilary Duff), its accompanying video features footage of Black receiving an award at her junior high school and attending red carpet premieres to ‘tell the story of her sudden rise to fame,’ according to a statement. ‘It’s a fairytale story, but it happened in real life.'”
Since Black is releasing a five-song EP in August, My Moment is probably just a teaser for what’s to come. But in any case, isn’t it great to have definitive proof that My Moment is changing the world so that one day, the fairytale story of a group of unicorns venturing into an ice cream shop will be told?
