Biography

Throughout his Hollywood career, Richie Sambora performed rock music for many audiences. Sambora worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Days of Thunder" (1990) starring Tom Cruise, "Fire Down Below" with Steven Seagal (1997), "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man" (1991), "Spaceballs" (1987) starring Mel Brooks, "The 1989 MTV Video Music Awards" (MTV, 1989-1990) and "The Adventures of Ford Fairlane" with Andrew Dice Clay (1990). He also appeared in the TV special "Intimate Portrait: Heather Locklear" (1998-99). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "MTV Cribs" (2000-08). More recently, he earned a role in "On the Line" (2001). Sambora also created music for "Hyperion Bay" (1998-99). Sambora continued to exercise his talent in the early 2000s and the 2010s, taking on a mix of projects like "Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed" (2004), "A Lot Like Love" (2005) starring Ashton Kutcher, the John Travolta and Tim Allen box office smash "Wild Hogs" (2007), "Win Win" (2011) and "Rock of Ages" with Julianne Hough (2012). Sambora last worked on "CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock" (2013-14). Sambora was married to Heather Locklear.
