New York City native Rick Gonzalez is a living, breathing testament to the spirit of the hit 1980s TV series and film "Fame". After attending the very same performing arts high school that inspired the Debbie Allen franchise, he eventually ventured west to Hollywood and landed a co-starring role opposite Dennis Quaid in the 2002 family drama "The Rookie". His ticket to that role was a four-episode arc on the 2000-01 season of "Boston Public". Gonzalez's other major career highlight is a regular role on the CW series "Reaper", about a young man who discovers his parents had transacted to put him in servitude to Lucifer. Gonzalez had a nice 2007-09 run on that show as namesake character Ben Gonzalez. Around these two career milestones, Gonzalez has appeared in a "Lie to Me" here and a "CSI: Miami" there. In 2008, he received a Best Actor nomination from the Imagen Awards for his work in the 2007 crime drama film "Illegal Tender".
