New York City native Rick Gonzalez is a living, breathing testament to the spirit of the hit 1980s TV series and film "Fame. " After attending the very same performing arts high school that inspired the Debbie Allen franchise, he eventually ventured west to Hollywood and landed a co-starring role opposite Dennis Quaid in the 2002 family drama "The Rookie." His ticket to that role was a four-episode arc on the 2000-01 season of "Boston Public." Gonzalez's other major career highlight is a regular role on the CW series "Reaper," about a young man who discovers his parents had transacted to put him in servitude to Lucifer. Gonzalez had a nice 2007-09 run on that show as namesake character Ben Gonzalez. Around these two career milestones, Gonzalez has appeared in a "Lie to Me" here and a "CSI: Miami" there. In 2008, he received a Best Actor nomination from the Imagen Awards for his work in the 2007 crime drama film "Illegal Tender."
