Biography

Rick Vallin worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Vallin began his acting career with roles in such films as "Perils of the Royal Mounted" (1942), the Anna May Wong drama "Lady From Chungking" (1942) and "Secrets of a Co-ed" (1942). He also appeared in the crime picture "The Panther's Claw" (1942) with Sidney Blackmer, the Chief Thundercloud western "King of the Stallions" (1942) and "Isle of Forgotten Sins" (1943). He kept working in film throughout the forties, starring in "Wagon Tracks West" (1943), "Dangerous Money" (1946) and the adventure "Northwest Outpost" (1947) with Nelson Eddy. He also appeared in "Jungle Jim" (1948) with Johnny Weissmuller. During the latter half of his career, he continued to act in "King of the Congo" (1952), the drama "Strange Fascination" (1952) with Cleo Moore and the Billy Elliott western "The Homesteaders" (1953). He also appeared in "Ma and Pa Kettle at Home" (1954) with Marjorie Main. Vallin also acted in "Brick Bradford."
