RJ Mitte embarking on music career

Breaking Bad star Rj Mitte is eager to swap acting for music after taking up guitar lessons in a bid to make his chart dreams come true. The 21 year old, who has cerebral palsy, reveals he wants to embark on a new chapter of his entertainment career after spending the past five years portraying the son of Bryan Cranston’s Walter White character on the critically-acclaimed drama, which wrapped for good earlier this year (13).
He tells DigitalSpy.co.uk, “I’m working on it (music career) right now – we’ll see what happens.
“I’m learning guitar, I’m learning piano. I have a bit of an issue as I only have one good hand and one good ear, but I’m slowly getting over it one day at a time. We’ll see what happens. I love music. My house is constantly filled with music – from vinyl to the thousands and thousands of songs on my (computer) hard drive.”
However, Mitte isn’t quitting acting completely – he has landed a part in another TV drama series, Switched at Birth.
He says, “I’m working on a show at the moment called Switched At Birth. It’s really good. I’ve had a lot of support from the disabled community and I’m so happy to be involved with it.”
He has also confirmed he will not feature in the upcoming Breaking Bad spin-off, Better Call Saul, adding, “The spin-off is going to a prequel to the show, so it will be before my time.”
