Rob Delaney and wife expecting baby five months after son’s tragic death

Actor Rob Delaney and his wife are expecting a baby, five months after their son’s tragic death.
The Catastrophe star took to Twitter to tell his followers that wife Leah was pregnant on Saturday (30Jun18).
“Just had 2 typically wonderful @NHSEnglandLDN midwives visit my pregnant wife & I for a home birth assessment,” Rob wrote.
Alongside the announcement, he also shared a video of himself praising the U.K.’s publicly funded National Health Service, explaining how the doctors and nurses helped his family during Henry’s battle with brain cancer.
“See my sad love letter to the NHS below,” the Deadpool 2 star added.
In February, the 41-year-old announced that his two-year-old son Henry had passed away the month before, following a battle with brain cancer.
“Henry had been diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2016, shortly after his first birthday, following persistent vomiting and weight loss,” he explained at the time. “He had surgery to remove the tumour and further treatment through the early part of 2017. Then the cancer returned last autumn and he died in January.”
“Thank you, beautiful Henry, for spending as much time with us as you did. We miss you so much,” the actor concluded.
In April, Rob also shared a touching tribute to his late son on what would have been the toddler’s third birthday. “Here’s Henry not long before he died,” the actor captioned a photo of his son on Twitter.
“You can see his little tracheostomy tube on his neck and his left eye is turned in due to nerve damage from surgery,” he added. “He has a bus & a turtle though so he’s happy. He was such a sweet boy.”
