Biography

A prolific voice actor for countless film and television projects, Robert Clotworthy gave life to Jim Raynor, the muscle-bound hero of the "StarCraft" (Blizzard Entertainment, 1998- ) video game franchise, as well as narration for such award-nominated documentaries as "Empire of Dreams: The Story of the Star Wars Trilogy" (A&E, 2004), among more than 1,000 other credits. The son of a radio producer, Clotworthy began as a screen actor in the 1970s, racking up numerous bit and supporting roles on television. By the early '90s, he had moved into voice acting for features and television, providing background dialogue, voice-over and narration for film and TV. The "StarCraft" series established him as a potent voice-over actor, and he would go on to voice other roles for major games while also becoming a favorite of George Lucas for documentaries on the filmmaker's storied body of work.
