Biography

Robert Farnon carved out quite an amazing career for himself creating music for a variety of films. Farnon worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "All For Mary" (1955), "Captain Horatio Hornblower" with Gregory Peck (1951), "Gentlemen Marry Brunettes" (1955) starring Jane Russell, "Let's Make Up" (1954), "The Little Hut" (1957) and "The Sheriff of Fractured Jaw" (1958) starring Kenneth More. In the fifties and the seventies, Farnon devoted his time to various credits, such as "Expresso Bongo" (1959), "The Truth About Spring" with Hayley Mills (1965), "The Champions" (NBC, 1967-68), "Shalako" (1968), "The Man Who Fell to Earth" (1976) starring David Bowie and "A Man Called Intrepid" (1978-79). Farnon had a number of different projects under his belt in the seventies through the early 2000s, including "Bear Island" with Donald Sutherland (1979), "Mary and Joseph: A Story of Faith" (NBC, 1979-1980), "Friend or Foe" (1982), "The Ref" (1994), "Going All the Way" (1997) starring Jeremy Davies and "Strange Wilderness" with Steve Zahn (2008). Farnon also worked on "King's Rhapsody." Robert Farnon passed away in April 2005 at the age of 88.
