Biography

Robert Foulk worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Foulk started his acting career landing roles in such films as "Between Midnight and Dawn" (1950), the drama "The 49th Man" (1953) with John Ireland and "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" (1953) with Jane Russell. He also appeared in "Apache Ambush" (1955) and the James Stewart adventurous drama "The Far Country" (1955). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the fifties, appearing in the Jose Ferrer drama "The Great Man" (1957), the western "The Tall Stranger" (1957) with Joel McCrea and "My Man Godfrey" (1957) with June Allyson. He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "Raintree County" (1957) with Montgomery Clift. Toward the end of his career, he continued to act in the comedy sequel "Tammy and the Doctor" (1963) with Sandra Dee, the Shirley Jones comedic adaptation "A Ticklish Affair" (1963) and "Robin and the Seven Hoods" (1964). He also appeared in the Jim Brown thriller "The Split" (1968) and the comedy "The Love Bug" (1968) with Dean Jones. Foulk last acted in the Sean Marshall animated feature "Pete's Dragon" (1977).
