Robert Pattinson has been declared the most handsome man in the world, according to science.
London-based cosmetic surgeon Dr. Julian De Silva places the Twilight actor ahead of Henry Cavill, Bradley Cooper, Brad Pitt, and last year’s winner George Clooney, using the Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi.
The ratio is a measure of physical perfection, adapted from the “golden ratio” artists and architects used during the European Renaissance to map out their works.
De Silva told Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper: “Robert Pattinson was the clear winner when all elements of the face were measured for physical perfection.
“These brand new computer mapping techniques allow us to solve some of the mysteries of what it is that makes someone physically beautiful and the technology is useful when planning patients’ surgery.”
Pattinson was found to be 92.15 percent “accurate” to the Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi, he claimed
The 33-year-old’s eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw and facial shape were measured against other male stars, and he came closest to the ratio of perfection.
The Batman actor was closely followed by Cavill with 91.64 percent, with Cooper, Pitt and Clooney rounding out the top five with 91.08 percent, 90.51 percent and 89.91 percent, respectively.
