Biography

Ronald Squire worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Squire began his acting career with roles in such films as "Love in Exile" (1936), "Action For Slander" (1937) and "The Rocking Horse Winner" (1949). He also appeared in the James Stewart drama "No Highway" (1951) and the mystery adaptation "My Cousin Rachel" (1953) with Olivia de Havilland. His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like "The Man With a Million" (1953) with Gregory Peck, the comedy "Josephine and Men" (1955) with Peter Finch and the James Mason dramatic adaptation "Island in the Sun" (1957). He also appeared in "Sea Wife" (1957) and the Michael Redgrave crime adaptation "Law and Disorder" (1958). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the dramatic adaptation "The Inn of the Sixth Happiness" (1958) with Ingrid Bergman, "The Silken Affair" (1958) and the Deborah Kerr comedy adaptation "Count Your Blessings" (1959). Squire also acted in "Raising a Riot."
