Actress Ruth Negga appeared in a variety of films over the course of her Hollywood career. Negga started off her acting career mostly in film roles, appearing in "Breakfast on Pluto" (2005), the horror feature "Isolation" (2006) with John Lynch and the action movie "The Samaritan" (2012) with Samuel L. Jackson. She worked in series television while getting her start in acting, including a part on "Misfits" (E4, 2009-2014). Her passion for acting continued to her roles in projects like "12 Years a Slave" (2013) with Chiwetel Ejiofor and the Brad Pitt blockbuster horror movie "World War Z" (2013). She also landed a role in the miniseries "Secret State" (2013-14). She also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." (ABC, 2013-). More recently, she tackled roles in the musical drama "JIMI: All Is By My Side" (2014) with Andre Benjamin, the Deirdre O'Kane biographical drama "Noble" (2015) and the Aunjanue Ellis dramatic musical "Of Mind and Music" (2015).
