Biography

Ruth Williamson was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Williamson's early roles were in comedies like "Psycho Beach Party" (2000) with Lauren Ambrose and "The Family Man" (2000) with Nicolas Cage and Téa Leoni. She had an early role on the television special "Guys and Dolls Off the Record" (PBS, 1992-93). She worked in television in her early acting career as well, including a part on "Law & Order" (NBC, 1990-2010). Williamson also provided her talents as a voice actor for "Courage the Cowardly Dog" (1999-2003). She continued to act in productions like "Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde" (2003) with Reese Witherspoon. Williamson focused on television in more recent years, appearing on "What I Like About You" (WB, 2002-06) and "Kingpin" (NBC, 2002-03). Williamson also created music for the comedy adaptation "Die Mommie Die!" (2003) with Charles Busch. More recently, she tackled roles on "Castle" (2008-), "Modern Family" (ABC, 2009-) and "Dog With A Blog" (Disney, 2012-15). Most recently, Williamson appeared in "Casual" (2015-).
