Glee creator Ryan Murphy has announced a new member of his family — and when we say “family,” we don’t mean it in the feel-good “We’re all a family!” nonsense way that Mr. Schue spouts week after week. We mean his actual family unit: Murphy and his husband David Miller have welcomed a newborn son into their lives.
E! reports that the television mogul revealed the birth of their new baby Logan Phineas Miller Murphy to friends and family via an email on December 24. Logan was born on Christmas Eve morning, and is the first child for Murphy and Miller.
The only concern about this news is that it hints towards Murphy’s apparent proclivity to emulate his own projects. The writer/producer’s choice to bring a touch of The New Normal into his own life by welcoming a baby boy into his family is a blissful one, but let’s just hope he doesn’t get the same idea with American Horror Story. Or worse: Eat Pray Love.
