Stranger Things star Sadie Sink has slammed reports suggesting she was uncomfortable shooting a kissing scene for the series.
Sources claimed the young actress was caught off guard while filming the intimate moment after one of the show’s writers revealed the 15-year-old was “forced” into an unscripted smooch with co-star Caleb McLaughlin.
Writer Ross Duffer told the Daily Beast last week (03Nov17) Sink was “stressed out” by the scene, prompting fans to express concern.
Yet Sink maintains she was never put in an uncomfortable situation while working on the Netflix hit, and in an interview with The Wrap, the star defends the show’s creators and the environment they’ve created on set.
“I mean, of course I was nervous because it’s a first kiss, right? But I never objected to (it) or felt pushed into anything,” she tells the publication. “I always felt comfortable and the Duffer Brothers (Ross and Matt Duffer), they do the best job. And always create a comfortable space. And if I felt uncomfortable with anything, I wouldn’t have done it.”
