Actor Scott Lawrence has maintained a steady career playing minor roles both on television series and in films over the years. Early roles included spots on such hit television shows as "Murphy Brown" and "Growing Pains." By the early 21st century, Lawrence had also added voice work to his resume, by providing the voice of the evil Darth Vader in several "Stars Wars"-related video games ("Star Wars: Rogue Squadron III - Rebel Strike," "Battlefront II," "Empire at War," etc.). But it was during this time that Lawrence also landed his first truly substantial role on television, as the character Sturgis Turner on "JAG" (appearing in 76 episodes from 2001 through 2005). He had further one-offs on popular television shows during this time ("Bones," "ER," etc.), and in 2009 Lawrence landed a role in the motion picture blockbuster "Avatar," playing the Venture Star Crew Chief.
