It’s not really a secret that stars get a pretty big payday when they push products on Twitter and Instagram. You’d be hard-pressed to find an A-lister who hasn’t nabbed some kind of sponsorship — Taylor Swift’s Apple Music campaign, Katy Perry and Rimmel London, etc. There are too many to count.

So many celebs are stepping up to the plate when it comes to promoting products because it’s so profitable. If you’re thinking a simple Instagram post is worth a couple grand, think again. The pay day is so frighteningly high, we almost get sick to our stomachs when we think about it.

According to data company D’Marie Analytics, who released statistics in Ad Weekcelebrities like Kylie Jenner, Rihanna and Beyonce can pull in over $230,000 for a single social media post. In a surprising turn of events, the actress who actually has the highest payday and most social influence (yes, even more than bestie Taylor Swift) is Selena Gomez.

D’Marie estimates that Gomez’s posts are worth $550,000 across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. D’Marie estimates her worth by analyzing a variety of metrics including followers, post engagement, post quality and the ability to generate sales. The 23-year-old has over 180.6 million followers across the platforms and is pulling in an average of 200,000 new followers a day.

Gomez’s social influence has risen in recent months. In December her posts were worth just $200,000. That’s still a pretty penny, but it’s not half a million. Part of this is due to the fact that Gomez is slaying the Instagram game. The actress has 90 million followers and recently nabbed a spot in the Instagram hall-of-fame with the most-liked post in the history of the network. Her post was liked over 4.6 million times.

Gomez doesn’t engage in as many campaigns as other celebs, and maybe its because she knows her worth. There’s a fine line between spamming your fans and promoting a product you like while also collecting a pretty sweet paycheck. Gomez has always been classy that way.

You go girl!
