Apparently Megan Fox could not handle the way Michael Bay ran things on the Transformers set. According to Shia LaBeouf, Michael Bay has a very intense way of running a set (and his life, one would image) and when the status of sex symbol came crashing down on Fox, she couldn’t handle it. LaBeouf said, “Megan developed this Spice Girl strength, this woman-empowerment [stuff] that made her feel awkward about her involvement with Michael, who some people think is a very lascivious filmmaker, the way he films women.”
Ok, so she couldn’t handle it and didn’t approve of the way he was running things. So he got a Victoria’s Secret model to do the job of looking hot while explosions are happening and someone is shouting at you to act and look hot.
The crazy thing is – I kinda see both sides of this. Bay is an intense director and when the set is about to literally explode, you don’t really have time for pleasantries. At the same time, being regarded as a sex symbol isn’t the easiest thing in the world (I should know) and the consequences of that can wear on a person. There’s obviously not a clear winner in this debate so I’ll just go ahead and crown myself victor.
