Shilpa Shetty calls guards to deal with obsessed fan

Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty has called in her security team to deal with an obsessed fan who asked her to marry him. The actress, who has a two-year-old son with her businessman husband Raj Kundra, was left startled after the unnamed man turned up at her home in Mumbai, India.
He had been bombarding her with books and love letters for months but when he asked for her hand in marriage, Shetty decided to seek advice and was told to file a police complaint.
However, she was unhappy about getting law enforcement authorities involved so her security guards spoke to the mystery man instead.
Shetty tells The Hindustan Times, “Yes, an ardent fan did turn up outside my house, and created quite a scene. However, being a public figure, I understand that these things happen, and didn’t want to blow things out of proportion.”
