Shug Fisher rose to fame as an actor, gracing the silver screen many times over the course of his career. Fisher started his acting career landing roles in such films as "Mister Roberts" (1955), the horror movie "The Giant Gila Monster" (1959) with Don Sullivan and "Sergeant Rutledge" (1960) with Jeffrey Hunter. He also appeared in the James Stewart western "Cheyenne Autumn" (1964) and the James Stewart drama "Shenandoah" (1965). He continued to act in productions like the dramatic adaptation "The Reivers" (1969) with Steve McQueen, "Smoke" (1970) and "Guns of a Stranger" (1973). He also starred in the TV movies "Cutter's Trail" (1969-1970), "Key West" (1973-74) and "Huckleberry Finn" (1974). He also had a part in the TV miniseries "Louis L'Amour's The Sacketts" (1978-79). Fisher last appeared in "Help Wanted: Kids" (1985-86).
