Simon Russell Beale
Simon Russell Beale, a British-born actor, appeared in a variety of movies throughout his career. Beale began his acting career appearing mainly in films, such as the Amanda Root dramatic adaptation "Persuasion" (1995), the Peter Vaughan comedy adaptation "An Ideal Husband" (1999) and the dramatic adaptation "Orlando" (1993) with Tilda Swinton. He also was featured in the miniseries "A Dance to the Music of Time" (1997-98). Beale worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "Dunkirk" (). He also appeared in the TV special "John & Abigail Adams" (2005-06). He also starred in the TV movies "Alice in Wonderland" (1998-99) and "The Young Visiters" (2004-05). He also had roles in film during these years, including roles in "Hamlet" (1996). Beale took on film roles in more recent years, appearing in "My Week With Marilyn" (2011) with Michelle Williams, the drama "The Deep Blue Sea" (2012) with Rachel Weisz and the James Corden box office smash fantastical comedy "Into the Woods" (2014). He held additional roles in television including a part on "Penny Dreadful" (2013-). He also had a part in the TV miniseries "The Hollow Crown" (2012-). Beale also acted in "The Gathering."
