The rapper formerly known as Snoop Dogg — now going by the name Snoop “Lion” — appears to not be lying about one thing: Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have split. The rumors of a breakup have been circulating for months, but the rapper-turned-reggae singer seemed to confirm the news in an interview with the Huffington Post, saying “I can’t speak for her, ya know what I’m saying, but I know that she has a relationship that no longer exists.”
But why should we take his word for it? Well, overlooking the fact that the 41-year-old makes no secret of his love for marijuana, he did work closely with the former Disney star when the two collaborated on his new album, Reincarnated. The song “Ashtrays & Heartbreaks” — which is about the loss of loved ones no less — was the result of many hours spent in the studio together.
And as the Hunger Games star has not been seen out with his fiancee in weeks — and the same can be said of her and her 3.5 carat diamond engagement ring — it makes sense when Snoop says, “I know she’s probably in a transformation change with her life, her music and her career.”
