The Hills stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag fought to save their California home on Sunday as wildfires threatened to destroy the property.
The couple was reduced to hosing down the advancing flames, before firefighters arrived and instructed them to leave the area immediately.
Speaking to Los Angeles DJ Ryan Seacrest on his morning show on Monday, Montag said, “Spencer was literally down there putting out the fire and I was screaming at him, ‘Come back here, the firemen are coming.'”
Pratt added, “It was her and I putting out the fire with the hose. Until the firemen got there. They were fast… The fire is out now.”
Although their home is still standing, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger declared a state of emergency in seven southern California counties.
