So much for Twitter being an outlet where people can voice their opinions. When Stacey Dash took to Twitter on Sunday to share her feelings on the current presidential race, readers responded quite negatively to her support of Republican candidate Mitt Romney.
“Vote for Romney. The only choice for your future. @mittromney @teamromney #mittromney #VOTE #voteromney” Dash wrote, along with posting a patriotic themed picture of herself.
Dash’s statement caused some Twitter users to respond in an uproar. “You’re an unemployed black woman endorsing @MittRomney. You’re voting against yourself thrice. You poor beautiful idiot,” on person said, according to ABC News (the tweet has since been taken down). “@REALStaceyDash yeah cause we want to continue increasing out debt at the highest rate in history…moron” another person stated.
But Dash didn’t let the hate stop her from standing up for her political beliefs. She responded to her haters the same day, saying, “My humble opinion… EVERYONE is entitled to one.”
