Biography

Stafford Repp found incredible success as an accomplished actor, appearing in a variety of films throughout his Hollywood career. Early on, Repp mostly landed roles in various films, including the western "Man Without a Gun" (1955) with Robert Mitchum, the western "Star in the Dust" (1956) with John Agar and the crime flick "Plunder Road" (1957) with Gene Raymond. He also appeared in "Hot Spell" (1958) with Shirley Booth. Repp worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "The Thin Man" (NBC, 1957-59). He kept working in film throughout the fifties and the sixties, starring in the crime adaptation "I Want to Live!" (1958) with Susan Hayward, "The Crimson Kimono" (1959) with Victoria Shaw and the William Shatner drama "The Explosive Generation" (1961). He also played parts in television during these years, including roles in "Texas John Slaughter" (ABC, 1958-1961) and "The Twilight Zone" (CBS, 1959-1964). During the latter part of his career, he continued to act in the comedy "A Very Special Favor" (1965) with Rock Hudson and the action film "Batman: The Movie" (1966) with Adam West. Additionally, he appeared on the television special "The Good Life" (NBC, 1970-71). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Batman" (ABC, 1965-68). Repp more recently acted on "M*A*S*H" (CBS, 1972-1983).
