Stana Katic launches Alternative Travel Project initiative

Actress Stana Katic has launched a travel initiative to encourage people to drive less.

The Quantum of Solace star founded the Alternative Travel Project and is hoping the campaign will convince motorists to give up their car for at least one day.

She explains, “The idea behind it was that we could achieve some really wonderful benefits – environmental, social and health-wise – by making a different choice at least just once a week, once a month or even once a year.

“So we help educate people and bring the information to smaller communities and governments to provide the infrastructure to make that possible.”
