Bonus Trivia

.

In 2008, Burnett helped to develop CODE, an audio DVD-video format which offers a high resolution alternative to MP3s, CDs and AAC.

.

"I've always written songs for people and written songs for films. I've been working all around. I don't know how to describe it. I've been a jack-of-all-parades, I suppose. I've tried to make myself useful around the studio. Certainly I'm looking for different ways to have music circulate through the culture that doesn't depend on the record business." Burnett quoted on The A.V. Club, April 28, 2010.

.

"I try to be a trusted source. I have my detractors of course, but I always try to do the true thing, I really do." Burnett quoted in Rolling Stone, Dec. 18, 2012.

.

"I never wanted to be a public performer. I've never been comfortable on stage. With the Rolling Thunder Revue I stood at the back of the stage and didn't move. It's inhibiting when you're a foot taller than anyone else and you have to bend down to the mike. I wasn't made for that." Burnett quoted in The Telegraph Dec.14, 2013
