Tammy Grimes's acting career took off when she was a mere 12 years old. Grimes' early roles were in dramas like the Tuesday Weld film "Play It As It Lays" (1972) and "Somebody Killed Her Husband" (1978) with Farrah Fawcett and Jeff Bridges. She additionally landed roles in the TV movies "The Other Man" (1970-71) and "The Horror at 37,000 Feet" (1972-73). She continued to act in productions like "The Runner Stumbles" (1979) with Dick Van Dyke, "Can't Stop the Music" (1980) and the comedy "The Stuff" (1985) with Michael Moriarty. She also lent her voice to "The Last Unicorn" (1982). During the latter half of her career, she tackled roles in the Bernadette Peters dramatic comedy "Slaves of New York" (1989), the Lisa Eichhorn comedic drama "A Modern Affair" (1996) and the drama "High Art" (1998) with Ally Sheedy. She also appeared in the Tony Goldwyn comedy "Trouble on the Corner" (1998). Grimes last acted in "The Portrait" (1999). Grimes was hitched to Christopher Plummer and had one daughters, Amanda Plummer.
