" Waking up in the bath just before an alien slug can strike, she splatters it with a curling tong before making her escape in a pick-up truck as her family succumbs to the slimy invaders. Eight years earlier, the Canadian had abandoned competitive dancing for acting and debuted in the TV series "Cold Squad." She made her feature bow in the romcom "Limp," which she followed with ensemble turns in a couple of contrasting teleplays, the crime drama "The Darklings" and the coming-of-age fantasy "Ratz."
