Taylor Swift Won The Kimye Feud, According To New Research

While the poor, underused snake emoji has soared in popularity in the last couple of weeks, it turns out most of America doesn’t think Taylor Swift is a lying manipulator. According to new research, the pop star has officially won the feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

Swift and Kanye haven’t been too fond of each other since that whole VMA fiasco — and definitely not since he released the song “Famous” referencing how that literally made Taylor famous. The drama reemerged for the millionth time in June when Kardashian told GQ that Swift approved the lyric in Kanye’s song, then pretended to be upset about it. The drama came to a head when Kardashian released a Snapchat of the alleged conversation where Swift approved the song, and of course, the Internet went wild. Swift even went off on Kanye on Twitter, which is something she rarely does (even though her ex Calvin Harris is pretty much the king of it). The whole thing resulted in Instagram banning the snake emoji on Taylor’s account, and Kim feeling pretty smug that she won the battle — but she didn’t win the war!

According to new research from Morning Consultant, a media and technology company that frequently conducts political polls, most of America actually sided with Swift in the #KimExposedTaylorParty. Doesn’t seem like much of a party now, does it?

The research company polled 2,502 registered voters. Apparently, 75% of those who were polled knew about the whole feud (and we’d reckon that’s probably more than the amount of people who actually follow important news events like the RNC or DNC). More than half of those people liked Taylor Swift. 55% of people felt favorable towards Swift whereas Kanye and Kim only had an approval rating of 15% and 16% respectively.

When asked about who won the feud, people who had an opinion mostly sided with Swift. Here are the results:

34% of people sided with Swift
8% of people sided with Kim & Kanye
58% of people weren’t sure or had no opinion

So basically, Swift won. Sorry Kimye. Swift is used to winning stuff anyway; just look at her Grammy collection!

What’s also interesting is this poll pretty much proves that the Internet isn’t real life. It’s a place filled with trolls where negativity and drama is so loud that everything else is silenced. Really, it looked like the entire world had sided with Kim Kardashian, but that’s just not true.

Not to mention, we can safely say the Internet is riddled with idiots who have loud voices. #kimexposedtaylorparty was trending for a while, but the number one trending hashtag for an outstanding amount of time was #kimexplosedtaylorparty. Explosed. Oops. Guess no one noticed that one while they were busy button-smashing snake emojis.
