The Daily Shuffle: Beyoncé Makes First Public Appearance One Month After Giving Birth

beyonceBeyoncé has remained under the radar since giving birth to her daughter Blue Ivy in January, but the diva finally made a public appearance at Jay-Z’s Carnegie Hall concert in Manhattan last night. The new mom showed off her post-baby body and, as expected, looks amazing, especially considering she gave birth just one month ago (these celebs and their abilties to bounce-back…). Onlookers noted she looked happy to have a night off with her husband and observed, “She made a much bigger effort to say hello to nearly everyone, making rounds around the whole club before joining Jay-Z and guests in the VIP room.” Welcome back to the public spotlight, Beyoncé. Multiple reports now claim that Chris Brown will be performing at this year’s Grammy Awards. The news comes as a bit ironic given that it will mark the three-year anniversary of when the singer violently assaulted his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, at a pre-Grammy party – a night that basically destroyed his public image. A source told The Associated Press on Monday that Brown will definitely be hitting the stage at Sunday’s show, however, it hasn’t officially been announced yet. Coincidentally, Rihanna is also scheduled to perform that night, so if Brown is performing as well, that should make things sufficiently awkward backstage. If you ask me, one of the Grammy higher-ups has a very twisted sense of humor. – EW

Proving that even celebrities can’t get their way all the time, David Beckham was recently kicked out of a children’s soccer match in L.A. So, what happened? Beckham recalled the incident on The Jonathan Ross Show last Saturday, explaining that before his son Romeo took the field, “there was a penalty given” to a young player from another team. Apparently, the soccer pro didn’t think it was a fair call given the child’s age, so he immediately came to his defense. He said, “The kids are seven years old and [the referee] sent the kid off. And I was like, ‘Come on, he’s seven years old, referee! You can’t send him off.’ And he looked at me and was like, ‘Yes, I can.'” And after Beckham continued to argue about the situation, the ref gave him a red card and told him to leave the field for the duration of the game. I guess even the hottest of dads can be a little embarrassing at times. – US
