Tamm, best known for her role opposite Baker in the cult sci-fi TV series in the 1970s, passed away at a hospital in London after an 18-month battle with cancer. She was 62.
Baker admits he is devastated by Tamm’s passing and has heaped praise on her, declaring, “She was a darling companion and wonderfully witty and kind. I’m so sorry to hear of her death.”
Tamm’s actress pal Helen Lederer adds, “Mary was such an energised, talented woman with a great twinkle in her eye and she was so very beautiful.”
