Biography

Tom Bernard was one of the co-founders of Orion Classics, the distributing branch of Orion Pictures devoted to art-house cinema. He got his start in theatrical sales at New Line Cinema and World Northal in the 1970s, then moved to Films Inc., where he began a theatrical department. In 1980, Bernard moved to United Artists and established United Artists Classics.
