When it comes to politics, Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello doesn’t mince words when it comes to politics. The outpoken Morello has never really been a fan of conservative politics–he’s a huge supporter of the Occupy Wall Street movement–and while speaking to Hollywood.com at Comedy Central’s Night of Too Many Stars, this tide continued.
Speaking about his recent piece in Rolling Stone, Morello stood by his opinion that Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan “is the embodiment of the machine that our music has been raging against for two decades.”
And what did he think about Ryan’s performance at least week’s VP debate? “Well, Ryan definitely looked yolked up from all the P90X and Rage Against the Machine he’s been listening to,” Morello joked–making reference to Ryan’s admission that Morello’s band was one of his favorites. (And these really, really fantastic pictures.)
But when it comes to Romney and Ryan’s political ideologies, Morello doesn’t feel as positive about the results: “Listen, a Romney/Ryan administration will basically lead to us sucking on the corporate teat.” When it comes to Morello’s feelings about how the Romney/Ryan campaign will treat those not in the one percent? “Under Romney/Ryan, if you’re a woman in America, good luck, and if you’re poor, good luck.” Gee, I wonder who Morello’s voting for this year. Think he’s undecided?
So…um, good luck, vast majority of America?
What do you think of Morello’s comments regarding Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney? Sound off in the comments.
