Tommy Lee Apologizes to Alicia Keys for Kid Rock’s Behavior

Tommy Lee has issued a public apology to Alicia Keys, blaming Kid Rock for “disrespecting” the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

A scuffle broke out between Lee and his former love rival during Keys’ performance at the awards show in Las Vegas, where Rock was later cited for misdemeanor battery for throwing a punch at the Motley Crue drummer.

The reason for Rock‘s outburst was previously unknown, but Lee insists it all started because Rock–whom he dubs ‘Kid Pebble’–is jealous of his relationship with their ex-wife Pamela Anderson.

Speaking on his Web site, he says, “Here I am minding my own (business) having a great time with my friend (magician) Criss Angel and watching the MTV awards in the front row…

Pamela (Anderson) comes and sits on my lap, who I love and adore… I get a tap on the shoulder form Kid Pebble. I stand up and embrace him with a semi-hug and say, ‘Hey dude, what up?’

“He punches me in the face… (but it was) more like a bitch slap! Anyway, I go to knock this jealous no-career havin’ country bumpkin the f**k out… and before I can have a meeting with my fist and his ugly-ass mug, security guards at the Palms grab me and haul my ass outta the award show threatening me that

if I move they’ll break my arm.

“Anyway… I would like to apologize to Alicia and… MTV for the disrespectful bulls**t caused by a piece of s**t called Kid Pebble!”

Lee married Anderson in 1995, before divorcing three years later–while the former Baywatch beauty filed for divorce against Rock, real name Robert Ritchie, just four months after they wed last August.
