Toni Garrn collects supermodel cast-offs for charity clothes sale

Toni Garrn has called on her supermodel friends to contribute clothes to a charity ‘flea market.
The German model, who’s recently been spotted out with former flame Leonardo DiCaprio, has been curating her “supermodel flea market” since 2015, but she’s now also teamed up with Vestiaire Collective, which sells second-hand designer items, and is bringing the New York-based idea to Europe with pop-up stores in London, Paris, and Berlin.
“Naomi Campbell sent an amazing white lace Givenchy slip dress, which I love!” Toni gushed to British Vogue. “Kate Upton donated some cool Louis Vuitton shoes and Jourdan Dunn sent a huge box of pieces. Working in fashion we’re lucky enough to be gifted lots of items, so why not share?”
She adds that Kate Moss gave up a signed denim jacket, while Gisele Bundchen sent a personalised pair of Prada shoes and Poppy Delevingne donated a vintage pink velvet dress.
And customers will be in no doubt about where their purchases have come from, as Toni explained: “Everything will be labelled so shoppers will know whose wardrobe each item was pulled from. It will be great to talk to shoppers and explain to them where the money is going. By buying a jumper from Jourdan Dunn, or a pair of shoes from Kate Upton, they will be helping keep girls in Africa in school.”
The London pop-up takes place from 10 to 12 November (17), and 25-year-old Toni will be on hand to help ring items through the cash register. There will also be an online sale, which launches on 2 November.
“I always wanted to take the sale worldwide and for it to have an online presence,” Toni smiled. “Now anyone can participate and own a piece from their favourite model’s closet, while doing something good at the same time!”
