Biography

Canadian actor Tyler Labine carved out a 15-year career playing a variety of boisterous, garrulous and comic roles on film and television for both sides of the North American border. His most popular variation on that persona was for the science fiction series, "Invasion" (ABC, 2005- ), in which he played Dave Groves, a conspiracy theorist who discovers that his concerns about an alien takeover are not as far-fetched as others might think.

Bonus Trivia

.

Along with his brother and best friend, wrote and performed in a hip-hop band called "Figures of Speech."

.

"I feel like if you genuinely have something unique to say or a unique way to say it, then you have to find a soapbox and get up there and say it loud, man. It’s the same with TV or any creative endeavor I enjoy. As far as any efforts I make, I just kind of try to live my life that way. My choices, I think, are a little more diverse, and I try to hang out with diverse people… I try to make efforts every day in that regard." - from The A.V. Club, Oct. 2, 2015
