Uwe Boll blasts fans and Hollywood stars over failed crowdfunding campaign

German director UWE BOLL is blasting Hollywood stars and movie fans after his latest crowdfunding effort for his new film, RAMPAGE 3: NO MERCY, failed to hit its target.
The filmmaker recently launched a campaign on Kickstarter.com after two previous fundraising efforts on different sites failed, but his most recent project also fell flat with the public and the setbacks have turned Boll off crowdsourcing altogether.
Taking aim at film fans in a video posted on Youtube.com, he says, “Basically my message is f**k yourself because that is so f**king absurd. What retarded amateur idiots collecting money on that website. We get approached by people at Kickstarter, (who say), ‘Do it and you have hundreds of thousands people contacting you to say, ‘I can push your campaign and I get 10 per cent of whatever you collect,’ and it’s all f**king bulls**t and I will never do it in my life again. For me, crowdfunding is absolutely dead.”
Boll goes on to reveal he is considering completely ditching the movie and blasts the public for supporting big releases by Hollywood heavyweights like George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, because he claims all they care about is money and publicity.
He continues, “You know what they do? They’re laughing about you, they’re laughing about you because you make $2,000 a month and the only thing that you do is you bring it to the box office to watch the next brainwashing…”
The 49 year old is known for his expletive-laden attacks – in 2010, he blasted George Clooney, Matt Damon and other stars for not supporting his film Attack on Darfur – an issue he brought up in his new rant once more.
