Actress Vanessa Kirby was so nervous about playing late royal Princess Margaret in The Crown she plastered photos of the Queen’s sister around her house.
The Hobbs & Shaw star felt she needed to “absorb” the royal as she prepared to play Margaret.
“I thought, ‘Maybe by osmosis, slowly over time, I’ll feel like I’m becoming her’,” she smiles.
Kirby slowly removed all the photos after her time as Margaret in the first two seasons of the show, but she’ll forever remember the role: “Only one (photo) in my toilet remains,” she laughs.
Helena Bonham Carter has taken over the role of the Queen’s sister in the third and fourth seasons of the royal drama, which will also feature Olivia Colman as Elizabeth.
