Vaughn blasts British government

The director has faced a barrage of criticism in Britain over allegations his new film, Kick-Ass, is too violent and is littered with swear words.

But he is adamant self-appointment moral guardians are wrecking the country – and insists British society is “f**ked”.

He also praises Conservative Party leader David Cameron over current Prime Minister Gordon Brown, calling for a change at the heart of government to save the country.

Vaughn says, “Seriously. It will ruin any creativity in this country, if we have to be answerable to (censors). It’s a free country, and you don’t have to watch (Kick-Ass). But there are enough people who like this film to warrant it being made in the first place… Our society is f**ked at the moment. I think Cameron is better than Brown, but politics as a whole needs to change.”
