Drake and Rihanna have been on-and-off for a long time — and we can’t help but admit they’re totally adorable together. Seriously, is there a better match out there? Even with all those concert appearances, duets, overseas dates and late nights out, the pair still haven’t put a label on it. They recently rekindled their romance, but are they ever gonna just make the darn thing official? We know what’s going on Drizzy! We see it.
According to an insider who spoke to E! News, the reason the couple haven’t given each other that coveted boyfriend-girlfriend label is all because of Rihanna.
“Rihanna and Drake are hanging out a bit more lately. Rihanna loves Drake, but is still not ready to put a title on them,” said the insider. “Drake would make her his girlfriend in a second if he could. It’s more on Rihanna, though. They both care about each other and are having a good time spending time with each other. Drake has expressed to Rihanna that he only wants to date her and only her, but she wants to take it day by day this time around.”
Poor Drake. We know Drake has pined after Rihanna for ages. In 2011’s “Take Care,” he wrote that if the Barbados songstress came back, they’d “change the pace and just go slow.” We’re happy to see her giving it another shot. The couple has really been making it work. He’s made numerous appearances on her Anti tour, and this week, RiRi made a surprise visit to Drake’s OVO Fest performance. Rihanna flew from Paris to Canada just for the occasion, then shipped herself off to Sweden for her tour. That’s so sweet maybe they don’t need a title!
According to E!’s insider, a title may really not be necessary. “Things are great though and their connection is really strong. Things are progressing nicely.”
