Superstar DJ Afrojack is launching a global talent search to unsigned singers for a new pop band.
The 30-year-old Dutch producer and musician is teaming up with Japanese boyband Exile and their entertainment brand LDH to discover young unsigned singers to form the international group.

“I’m super proud to spearhead the search to unearth the next superstar vocal group, but this time from a truly global pool of talent,” Afrojack, who has been appointed LDH’s European CEO, said in In a press release. “Starting from humble beginnings, I know what it is like to have a dream and mission as an artist, so I call on young people across the U.K. and the world to sign up for this – the opportunities are limitless and expectations will be surpassed.”
Applicants must be between 15 and 24 and sign up online for the ‘Vocal Battle Auditions’ by next Monday (07May18).
Successful singers will follow the likes of Madonna, will.i.am, Beyonce, and Sia in working with Afrojack, real name Nick van de Wall, on their music – as he is set to produce the band’s debut material, which will come out next year (19).
Japanese DJ Verbal, who now acts as LDH’s Executive Creative director, thanked Afrojack for coming on board with the project and added, “We believe there are many talented individuals out there and can’t wait to get started!”
He also said that he believed the band could, as a truly international group, break down barriers and inspire music fans across the world.
