Eric Singer will leave KISS if his bandmates quit

Kiss drummer Eric Singer has vowed to quit the band if founding members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley decide to retire. The two musicians are the final remaining original members of the rock band, and frontman Stanley has previously insisted the band can continue without them by recruiting younger replacements to step into their iconic costumes and make-up.
However, Singer, who joined the group in 1991 following the death of drummer Eric Carr, is adamant he would not continue without his pals.
He tells The Cassius Morris Show podcast, “If Gene and Paul aren’t in KISS, I don’t think I have much interest in being in KISS. I’m not saying it’s not possible – but I doubt it will be with me. I don’t think I would want to do that. To me, Gene and Paul have always been the main cogs in the machinery. I’ve been around this band for 25 years, I’ve seen fans of all eras and all incarnations of the band. But for me, the one constant has always been Gene and Paul. They’ve always been the principal songwriters and the main vocalists – that’s just the way it’s always been.”
