Zsa Zsa Gabor’s only child, Francesca Hilton, has died at the age of 67.
Hilton’s representative, Edward Lozzi, reveals the daughter of Gabor and Hilton Hotel founder Conrad Hilton suffered an “apparent stroke/heart attack” on Monday night (05Jan15) and was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where she was later pronounced dead.
Lozzi says, “As Francesca’s publicist and one of her best friends I am shocked. We were on the phone minutes before she died. We were discussing her book she was writing and a possible deal. She had to go to the restroom. She never made it out. I am so sad about my friend…”
Born Constance Francesca Gabor Hilton, she pursued a career as a photographer and actress, before working in public relations in the 1980s. She once famously dated actor Peter Sellers and is a great aunt of socialite Paris Hilton. Hilton, whose father died in 1979, had been locked in a legal dispute with her stepdad, Frederic von Anhalt, for years over the care of her ailing 97-year-old mother, who has faced ill health since she was left bedridden in 2010 after breaking her hip.
