Glen Powell called up for Top Gun sequel after losing role to Miles Teller

Actor Glen Powell has joined the cast of the Top Gun sequel after Miles Teller beat him out for a leading role.
Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that Powell and Teller were both gunning for the role of the grown-up son of Anthony Edwards’ character, Goose, in the new film – and the Whiplash star won.
But it appears producer Jerry Bruckheimer became such a fan of the Hidden Figures star, he found another role for the 29 year old.
Details about his character have not been released.
Tom Cruise’s Top Gun sequel, which also features Val Kilmer and Jennifer Connelly, will hit theatres in July, 2019.
